Police confirmed the 56-year-old was found on Saturday night. His Holden Commodore VE SSV sedan was found in Hopetoun - more than 280km away - on Thursday night.
Police were, however, tight-lipped about where he was found.
He had been missing from the Ballarat region since last Wednesday. He was last seen in Gregory Street, Wendouree.
Police and family were particularly concerned due to his medical condition.
