Jacinta Lee Kennett, 29, faced the County Court in Ballarat to appeal the severity of her sentence.
The mother-of four received seven months' imprisonment on February 7 after she pleaded guilty to 25 offences, including resisting an emergency worker, assaulting an emergency worker, dangerous driving and breaching a community correction order.
Kennett's offending in Ballarat spanned from April 2018 to December 2019 and included several alcohol thefts, gouging a police officer's eye at a bus stop and dangerous driving.
Defence barrister Brett O'Sullivan said Kennett's experience in prison had been enough of a deterrence, she had completed programs and was free of illicit drugs.
He asked the court to bring forward her release date and give her a further opportunity on a community correction order.
The hearing was adjourned to Wednesday.
