The Sydney Kings guard played played 17 minutes for the Kings in the side's 88-86 loss to the Wildcats at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
Bruce played well in the encounter, dropping 11 points - including one three pointer - on 50 per cent shooting.
But it wasn't enough to overcome a Wildcats outfit led by star import Bryce Cotton, who torched the home side with 32 points and six rebounds.
The win steals home court advantage for the Wildcats, who face the Kings on Friday in Perth for a commanding 2-0 lead.
