Onballer Andrew Wettenhall has been cleared to Hamilton Kangaroos in the Hampden Football League as he looks to settle in to his new community.
Wettenhall arrived at Waubra from University Blues for the 2018 season and spent two years with the Roos, winning the premiership in 2019. Last year, he finished fourth in the club's senior best and fairest count behind winner James Lukich and kicked a goal in the grand final against Hepburn.
"He moved to Hamilton (and we were) hopeful to hold on to him. But he's making an effort to get into the community down there," Waubra coach Matt James said.
"The door is always open to return. He's been a great club person."
The Central Highlands Football League, like others in the state, is on hold until at least May 31 due to the COVID-19 outbreak across the world.
