Angwin had made the decision to take the season off long before the COVi19 virus reared its ugly head around the world.

Darley coach Dan Roy said Angwin had been looking to focus on boxing for the year rather than lining up in the Ballarat Football League.

Angwin was one of the Devils' prize recruits last year - moving from cross-town rival Bacchus Marsh.

He made 16 appearances with Darley, being in their best players five times.

Angwin had previously spent all his junior and senior career with the Cobras.

He played in Bacchus Marsh's first and only senior premiership in 2016, and has represented the BFL and been in the BFL team of the year.

Meanwhile, Brad Inglis is preparing for a full-time return.

Inglis has been unable to get any continuity into his football since suffering a serious leg injury in 2013.

He broke a fibula, chipped a tibia and dislocated an ankle.

Inglis managed 10 games in 2014, but by his own admission it was struggle.

He has made several attempts to get back since, but each time has had injury issues - forcing him to miss Darley's 2015 and 2017 premierships.

Roy said the classy midfielder and former Devils co-captain had a strong pre-season.

He said Inglis had gone through uninterrupted and would be a welcome addition to the senior squad.

Darley needs to cover the losses of Nick and Brian Graham, Bailey Waasdorp, Corey Young and Angwin.

BACCHUS Marsh is looking for add another former Mansfield player to its list.

Josh Marton is set to add to the Cobras' ruck stocks - providing support for Henderson Medallist Daniel Burton.

Marton played alongside new Bacchus Marsh coach Tom German at Mansfield, which has been a productive recruiting ground for the Cobras.

He played a full quota of senior games in 2018, but managed only nine last year.

Bacchus Marsh has also lured Ryan Bartlett, Lachlan Christopher and Jackson Kirley from the Goulburn Valley league club.

German said having these players based in Melbourne had been a major factor is attracting them to Maddingley Park.

NO surprise that the process of Ballarat Football League clearances has dried up given the uncertainty surrounding the future of a 2020 season.

The last clearances application was processed on March 19.

AFL Victoria made the call two days earlier to postpone passed all community football, Auskick and school programs in Victoria until at least May 31.

More than 20 clearances and registrations have ben finalised since.

The pattern is similar in the CHFL.
