Harness Racing New South Wales, like Harness Racing Victoria, has barred interstate trainers and drivers from attending meetings as part of measures to protect harness racing populations from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The message to our people is simple - do not travel," a joint HRV/HRNSW statement from chief executive officers Dayle Brown (HRV) and John Dumesny (HRNSW) said earlier in the week.
Their horses were already in NSW when the interstate travel ban, which also covers horses, was introduced.
Stewart has six starters across four group finals, while Tonkin has one.
