Mum Aisha said her daughter, a Phoenix Grade 3 pupil, had decided about three weeks ago to put her birthday on hold.
"She's absolutely dinosaur and shark crazy," Aisha said.
"We've had to cancel the Jurassic cake, but fortunately we've been able to get a few things ordered online which have arrived.
"She has understood what is going on and that she won't be getting any visitors for her birthday, so we hope we can get some people to drive past later today and honk their horn to say happy birthday.

"We'll look forward to a party when all this is over."
Aisha said with nine people living under the one roof, including her four children aged 22, 18, 8 and 6, she was fortunate that there was plenty to do to keep younger children occupied and they understood what was happening.
If you would like to wish Amity-Mabel a happy eighth birthday you can drive along near the corner of Latrobe and Drummond Street later this afternoon between 4pm and 5pm.
