With social isolation taking its toll on Ballarat residents, one organisation has encouraged people to come by and pick something up that may help their time stuck at home.

BRACE Education and Training is keeping its community library open to the public, with regional manager Sandra Gallagher telling The Courier what they are offering is crucial for some individuals.
"We've got a community library in our foyer for people who can't get to the shops to buy books anymore," she said.
"We want to encourage people to come through and grab a book or two because we know how important they can be for mental health.

"It's really important that people have ways to keep their minds active during social isolation. If people are just sitting at home, they may focus on all the negatives going on at the moment."
The library is also offering puzzles for children, which have come from Bargain Browser, which has been forced to close during lockdown.
"We've been bringing some stuff from there into the library which we think will be great for kids and families," Mrs Gallagher added.
"We just want people to know we're here to support them so they don't go mental over this time."
