For Ballarat's Garry Anderson, isolation is a common experience he goes through, but he knows there are plenty of people out there who are doing it tough right now, many dealing with isolation for the first time.
Which is why, he has thrown his support behind an idea to get Ballarat residents working on their own art that can be displayed online and potentially exhibited once the pandemic clears.

The Ballarat Arts Foundation (BAF) is asking creative Ballarat residents looking for an outlet to work on their ideas, photograph them and share them with the community.
"It's a great opportunity for people to see this on a positive light in that you can do things at home," Mr Aderson said
"Be creative. What we do know is this will pass and that's an important thing to remember."
The Golden Point based artist said there was no doubt we were living in an historically significant time.
"I think it's a great idea to get people involved in activities in isolation and that we create some sort of celebration," he said.
"The main thing is to try and lesson the psychological impact of isolation.
"Every artist goes through that period, a lot of creatives need that to create, it's not easy and once you've gone through it, but it gets easier.
The Ballarat Arts Foundation chair Paula Nicholson said everyone was being impacted by coronavirus in some way, but said creativity could never be shut down.
"We encourage you to create something! Anything! Knit a scarf, plant a garden, paint a picture, make a short video, cook a delectable treat, tell a story of your daily life illustrated by your children and take photos of it all," she said.
Advocate Samantha McIntosh said she felt it would be a terrific idea for the community.
"I would love to see such involvement with our arts community over the next few months and to be able to track and maybe present at some stage the amazing stories that will be told," she said.
"To see people documenting their experiences in a creative manner will be a lot of fun. It's not just an opportunity for fine artists, or experienced and professional artists. I'd love to think that everyone from kinder kids up to everyone can challenge themselves
