That question has been a huge talking point around football and netball circles this week as attention turns to when leagues can get underway around the state.
More than 2000 people voted in a poll on The Courier's footy Facebook page, with a majority prevailing that it wasn't worth it.
And while I tended to agree in the early stages, the more I thought about it, the more I reckon it would be worth a crack if the medical professionals deem sport can resume during this COVID-19 pandemic.
There would no doubt be financial constraints and some practicality issues, but if competition can be staged in a safe manner, why not have a go and let the players play? Of course the community will want to attend, but this opens up the doors for leagues to be more creative in the way they deliver content to their fans.
Again, if it's safe then let's have a go.
