That's the assessment of Lisa James who is at the helm of Redan for the 2020 Ballarat Football Netball League season.
After coming over from the Ballarat Swans, James will lead a new-look Redan outfit when the season returns from the COVID-19 shutdown.
"We'll be pushing the bottom tier teams and might even sneak into finals," she said.
"Anything that gets us near that would be a good season."
Skipton premiership player Liz Williams headlines a slew of new faces to join the club in the off-season. She will join a Lions core featuring last season's stalwarts Ash Smith and Lilly Francis.
James said Williams was a big coup for the club.
"She's a stout defender," James said.

"She has a mature head on her and will guide the younger players in the team."
Williams will be joined by newcomer Rebecca Langley, who will enter her first season in the league. James said Langley would add depth to the club at centre and goal attack.
"She's a sharpshooter and a real thinker," she said
Meanwhile the club also sured up its future with teenage talents Mackenzie Nicholson and Mia Litras.
James said Mackenzie would slot in right away as the the Lions' goal shooter, while Litras would play in the centre of the court.
