A push is on for some of Ballarat and the region's undiscovered parks to be activated.
Committee for Ballarat chief executive Michael Poulton says the opportunities exist to create localised outdoor hubs to maintain the gains seen during lockdown.
"There are some brilliant spaces just waiting to be activated," Mr Poulton said. "We have seen how wonderful the lake is, and it always will be, but let's try and explore the options of what else we have."
Cr Samantha McIntosh said it was critical to continue thinking regionally.
"I believe council needs to be looking at our spaces," she said. "Could we do a review on what we plan to deliver and what we could do in the future?
"We have seen a very strong movement because of COVID challenges, let's embrace that healthy movement."
