HOMICIDE SQUAD detectives are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in the Bacchus Marsh suburb of Maddingley last night.

Emergency services were called to Woolpack Road to reports that a motorcyclist had been struck by a ute about 7.15pm.
The ute was being driven by a male driver, who police allege failed to immediately stop after the collision. Police allege he continued to drive further up Woolpack Road before he pulled over.
There were also two passengers traveling in the ute.
Police allege one of these passengers fled from the scene on foot and is yet to be located.
The ute driver, as well as the other passenger, are assisting police.
Emergency services responded but the male motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
Homicide Squad and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident.
The exact circumstances about how the collision occurred are yet to be determined.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police would like to speak with anybody who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage of either vehicle in the lead up to the collision.
