AFL Victoria gave the green light for clubs to resume training in groups of up to 10 players as of Monday and the Burras took up the invitation.
A small senior gathering was put through its paces under the watchful eyes of joint-coaches Shane Robertson and Jason Olver, as well as AFL Hall of Fame member Robert Walls, who is helping the club in season 2020.
Olver said 19 footballers turned up on Monday, with the club utilising the main oval and netball courts.
He said while it was a different atmosphere to normal, it was good to be back together.
"We're still going to go down the lines that the season has started. We'll keep training and blokes want to train," he said.
"If they want to keep doing it then we'll obviously keep persevering with it.
"But hopefully in the next month we do get some sort of starting date and we can work towards that."
Olver said the club would train every Monday and Wednesday nights for the foreseeable future.
AFL Victoria has asked that a range of strict protocols be followed for training, including that there be no tackling, bumping or marking contests and that balls be sanitised before and after sessions.
