Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) says customers can pre-purchase a beer from their nominated venue online, with the money going directly to the venue and patrons receiving a free second beer once it reopens.
As part of a national campaign, the Melbourne-based company on Thursday announced it will donate about 200,000 'pints' to hard-hit businesses.
Manager of The Jetty Bar at Glenelg, in Adelaide's south-west, David Elmes, says customers who pre-purchase pints have kept the business afloat as it deals with ongoing costs and no revenue.
He said under the state's restrictions, it was not yet viable to open.
"At this time of year, we could potentially serve 300 meals a weekend," Mr Elmes said on Thursday.
"But if we were to open under the current restrictions our number of meals would be severely reduced.
"We understand why it needs to be done this way, but realistically it is not financially viable for us to open the doors until the restrictions are lifted a little further."
The latest roll out from CUB is part of its campaign with the Australian Hotels Association to support venues across Australia.
It has already raised $1 million through its 'For the Love of Your Local' campaign, and says it will double its fundraising target to $2 million.
CUB chief Peter Filipovic said despite Adelaide's restrictions easing, many pubs and clubs still faced enormous challenges and ongoing restrictions will continue to significantly limit trade.
"Adelaide pubs and clubs have already been shut for two months and the fact is many of these beloved venues won't make it through this crisis without extra help," Mr Filipovic said.
"So, we're calling on Australians to help save their local and get free beer in the process."
Queensland's iconic XXXX Brewery last month donated 60 kegs to regional venues hard hit by drought and the COVID-19 lockdown to help keep them afloat.
