More than 20 competitors took part in the BLCC Jackman Motorkhana event at Ballarat Airport. The event marked the first round of the club's four-round Motorkhana series.
Ballarat Light Car Club president David Haddon said it was great to be back on the track.
"It was great to see people and get back on and have a skid," he said.
"It was good to see familiar faces getting out there and enjoying it."
Drivers put their skills to the test as they weaved in and out of marked cones in an attempt to score the fastest time. Drivers who hit any cones received six-second penalties.
Five junior drivers took part.
"It's not a speed event but there is a lot of skill involved," Haddon said.
Ben McKee took out the win after recording the fastest time across six attempts. Paul Gladman was runner-up, while Peter Jowett rounded out the top three.
Restrictions were put in place prior to the event. The club had to limit spectators and drivers were not allowed passengers while they competed.
"It was just about getting back on the track," Haddon said.
