This marks the end of statewide region-based model introduced to combat any possibility of an outbreak of COVID-19 within the industry.
Ballarat and District Trotting Club has continued to race as a designated track, initially with Melton to make up the inner west region and now until the end of the month with Melton, Terang and Stawell in the west.
Ballarat has been allocated race meetings for Thursday (transferred from Friday night); Thursday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 6, in the region model.
The BDTC will then race on Friday, July 3; Thursday, July 9; and Friday, July 24.
In keeping with state government restrictions, there is still no date for a return to the general public attending harness racing meetings.
Race nights are a closed event and attendance restricted to licensed persons such as trainers, drivers and stablehands, and essential staff.
