Students from grade three through to year 10 will commence their in-class schooling from Tuesday morning.
Within the Coulter family, it's not just the children excited for the return to the classroom, as teacher parents Aaron and Laurinda are also enthusiastic.
Perhaps the most excited in this family is youngest of three Lucy, who will return to Ballarat North Primary School as a grade three pupil.

She said while she's enjoyed her time home schooling, she is thrilled to be reunited with all of her friends in a classroom setting.
"I'm excited, a little bit nervous but mostly excited," she said.
"I'm looking forward to being back in class with my friends. I've enjoyed everything about going to school at home but I've missed my friends a lot.
"Having mum or dad around has been great and I will miss being able to sometimes finish early," she laughed.
