All junior competitions will commence full contact training from June 22, before kicking off the opening round on July 12.
Meanwhile senior competitions will begin full contact training on July 13 for a July 26 start.
BDSA boss Herman Bogers said it was exciting to cement a start date for the association's members.
"I think it's going to be great and we are certainly looking forward to it," he said.
Seniors will play a 14-week season, while juniors will start two weeks earlier and play over 16 weeks.
Bogers said seniors would play right through school holidays, while juniors would likely stop for a break.
"The numbers aren't looking too bad registration wise. We've lost a few teams but not as many as we would have thought," Bogers said.

The BDSA board agreed to extend nominations to give clubs extra time to finalise numbers. Registrations close on June 28. Bogers said he was delighted with the number of tentative entries submitted.
"It's looking healthy so far," he said.
"Some clubs will be down and other clubs will be up, it will be interesting to see when final entries come in on the 28th."
Although a start date is set in stone, Bogers said the board was yet to decide a course of action regarding finals.
Bogers said he wanted to prioritise home and away matches so play players could play as many weeks as possible during the shortened season.
He said a decision would be made at the next board meeting.
"We will have to go with whatever format gives teams more of a run," he said.
"If we have a finals series it will take away playing time for the players."
In April the BDSA floated the idea of shortening the finals series from three weeks to two weeks and didn't rule out getting rid of finals all together.
The latter scenario would mean teams that finish atop the league ladder would be crowned competition champions.
"The way the competition works is you have league winners which is the major prize and it goes to the team that finishes on top of the ladder," Bogers said.
