Sheehan posted a message on Facebook on Wednesday night informing members and supporters that Magpies football and netball teams would not compete this year and followed up on Thursday with a longer, more detailed message.
Carngham-Linton also publicly withdrew open-age football and netball teams on Wednesday, with the league set to make a decision on the season by as early as Friday.
