Less than 24 hours after the senior competition was cancelled, the BFNL on Friday morning declared the junior season would proceed.
Exact start dates and fixtures have not yet been announced.
In a statement issued this morning, the league said it was a difficult decision to make.
"Based on feedback from all stakeholders, the board have determined the best outcome in an otherwise difficult season will be to provide an avenue for junior sport and participation," the league said.
It is not yet known what teams will participate.
The starting date is expected to be unveiled in the near future.
