This is a second major win for Ballarat Turf Club in what have been uncertain times for the racing industry under COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
The BTC last month retained its traditional Cup Day timeslot at the end of the Victorian Spring Carnival after Racing Victoria knocked back a Melbourne Racing Club push to shift the Caulfield Cup to late November.
The Ballarat Cup on Saturday, November 21, will continue to be last major feature race day of the spring.
BTC chief executive Belinda Glass welcomed Racing Victoria's decision to maintain stakemoney levels which last year contributed to the Ballarat Cup being the richest race in regional Victoria and the race day the richest ever run in regional Victoria with $1,803,700 on offer.
"It's amazing. It's a credit to the industry to have been able to conserve stakes," Glass said.
"Everyone's worked so hard. It's great to get a show of support."
Racing Victoria fully funds eight races of the cup meeting's 10 events, with the Gold Coast-based Magic Millions contributing substantially to the MM Clockwise 2yo Classic, and MM 3yo and 4yo Classic.
Glass said the club was still to finalise arrangements with Magic Millions for this year, but it was hopeful that two races would be worth the same. Magic Millions last year contributed $200,000 to stakemoney.

Work is set to resume on the construction of a on-course stable complex for leading trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy at Sportsbet Ballarat.
Ballarat Turf Club chief executive officer Belinda Glass said the project was scheduled to resume on Monday after being halted in late March owing to the COVID-19 shutdown.
The complex, scheduled for an end of year completion, will feature 66 stable boxes and more than 35 day yards with shelters.
