The Demons had originally decided against having representation in 2020, but are now part of all three divisions of the Central Highlands Football League.
Bungaree president Andrew Mahar said the club's coaches had been "inundated" with requests to join following news the BFNL season was off.
"Those kids that were familiar with Bungaree of course and wanted to play football contacted our club and our coaches and made up the numbers to be able to submit three junior sides in the grades of 12, 15 and 18 for this season," Mahar told The Courier.
Mahar estimated an average of 10 players across the three divisions had joined the Demons from the BFNL to help boost numbers. The club only nominated teams on Friday, which was the cut-off day for new entries.
Mahar said the priority was the health and well-being of the players, officials and community during this COVID-19 pandemic.
"It's a big decision and there's a lot of protocols and procedures we need to take into consideration and how we manage that as a club and a committee," Mahar said.
"This is all about the kids and being able to play sport. It's not about a spectator sport that's coming into effect. It's about letting the kids go out and play football in the safest environment we can adapt to.
"It's been a very stressful time being locked down and not being able to socialise. This is not a social event, of course, it's about junior football and juniors playing a game of community sport and I think that's the most important thing that we all need to know - it's for the kids."
This coming Saturday, Bungaree teams will travel to take on Springbank at Wallace. Under-12s will start at 10.30am, the under-15s at 12noon and under-18s at 2.15pm.
