A Sovereign Hill spokesperson said ticket holders from affected areas would be refunded, but the museum would remain open to regional visitors.
The spokesperson said there was about a 50-50 split of visitors from the city and regional areas.
Sovereign Hill reopened its doors on June 27 after a three month shutdown.
It is limiting the visitor numbers to 1000 patrons a day with a range of new hygiene and safety measures in place.
A number of major events have not as yet returned with Winter Wonderlights cancelled for 2020, while the Gold Museum, Aura and Narmbool attractions will also remain closed in the short term.
