Cricket Australia has scheduled all WWBL|06 fixtures for metropolitan venues as part of a COVID-19 compromised program.
Renegades general manager David Lever said it was disappointing not to be playing in Ballarat next season.
He said Ballarat was an integral part of the Renegades' WBBL program.
"It's really important. We get fantastic support from all key stakeholders and the community as a whole."
Lever said unfortunately circumstances was not allowing it happen this year.
The Renegades' WBBL twenty20 encounter at the Eastern Oval in late November last year attracted the team's biggest home crowd of the season.
"Ballarat really works for us," Lever said.
He said the plan was certainly to return to Ballarat in the seasons to come.
Lever said putting together WWBL|06 season fixture had been a difficult task given the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape.
"The complexities in piecing together the fixtures are obviously significant at this time and we know things may change before matches get underway.
"We will continue to work with venues in the lead-up to the season and be guided by government and medical advice with respect to crowds."
The Renegades' WWBL season will begin with back-to-back matches in Queensland, followed by two in Tasmania, seven in the space of 19 days in Sydney and the last three in Melbourne.
The Sydney "hub" has been built in to provide flexibility should fixture adjustments be required.
Removing regional venues also assists with broadcasting arrangements, with more games being telecast on free-to-air and pay television.
The WBBL match joins AFL, A-League soccer and Super Netball fixtures as losses from the Ballarat sporting calendar this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Western Bulldogs were to have played two home and away games, while Western United also had two more matches set down for Ballarat before their seasons were initially postponed and then move interstate.
