One month into the role, the City of Ballarat's chief executive Janet Dore continues to put her stamp on council's organisation.

Council has announced a restructuring of director roles and management - one director will be cut, and Ms Dore intends to have the people and culture, and governance, roles report directly to her.
According to a media statement from Ms Dore, all director roles will be declared vacant and advertised externally.
"The recruitment process will be transparent and conducted by an independent and reputable recruitment company," Ms Dore said, though the recruitment company was not named.
The proposed organisation structure realignment includes four new Divisions, including Corporate Services, Assets and Infrastructure, Community Wellbeing, and Strategy and Growth.

"Some of these changes will impact a small number of roles, teams and positions," Ms Dore said.
"There are no planned reductions in positions to the levels below the Executive Leadership Team."
Ms Dore was selected as council's interim chief executive following the Victorian ombudsman's report into the previous chief executive's hiring practice, which led to her firing.
She has promised to "implement changes in response" to the report.

"This realignment is designed to rebalance the structure of the organisation and to create an organisation that is better equipped to deliver on Council's commitments and the community's expectations," she said.
"During my time here, I propose to have the People and Culture and Governance functions report directly to me, so I can be across the cultural changes we need to make to improve the culture and governance processes at the City of Ballarat."
Council staff will have until July 27 to provide feedback, with an update to be communicated to all staff on July 31.
A number of questions have been sent to council, including when and how the plan will be implemented, which recruitment agency will be used, and whether remuneration bands will be affected.
All directors have a total pay and benefits package of more than $220,000. Janet Dore has an annual package worth $350,000.
A council media spokesperson said the CEO would be making no further comment.
