Ballarat and District Soccer Association and Central Highlands Football League led the charge, and have played two rounds over the past two weeks.
Basketball, hockey and netball have all jumped on board this week under return to play COVID-19 protocols which allow 18 years and under full contact training and competition.
Ballarat Basketball re-launched on Tuesday and will have more games on Friday and Saturday.
The season will be a lightning premiership-style competition over 10 weeks.
Each division comprises 11 teams and finals will be played on September 14.
Hockey Ballarat hit-off at Prince of Wales Park on Saturday.
All sports are playing shortened junior seasons to fit in with the planned start of summer sports in October.
Senior (19 years and older) sporting activities continue to be restricted to non-contact pursuits.
