Notwithstanding privacy laws, people need to be aware what area in Ballarat and surrounds cases occur.
Public awareness will promote trust. Not knowing information known to the authorities creates more anxiety, distrust and anger.
We can all play a part and help. Tracing procedures have failed in Melbourne. We don't want the same to happen in Ballarat.

Felicity Montgomery, Mount Helen.
Recently Mr Egberg wrote a long letter in your paper, informing us of the wonderful work being done by our premier in the control of this dreaded virus.
Mr Andrews has many times spoken of the support he has received from our prime minister, both in advice, personnel and funding. In fact he has said he only has to ask the prime minister for anything and the answer is yes.
Our premier has many times said "the buck stops with me", well sir, despite all the assistance afforded you by way of advice and tax payer dollars, the results now are certainly not in your favour.
It is time the prime minister said give me results before any more of the taxpayers' dollars are used. The real problem with the virus is a people one.
With the virus, like the road toll, we have good roads and laws, but too many of Victorians have the attitude that "rules are made to be broken" and so the virus numbers soar and road deaths continue.
Mr Premier - work with all Victorian members of Parliament, and please get some better results immediately
A.J. Hayes, Ballarat.
