New sensation Ride High will again grab the attention of the Australian harness racing community on Saturday night.
He has his next start for Cardigan trainer Clayton Tonkin at Bendigo, where he will race over 1650m.
Ride High has reinforced his class and scintilating speed since returning from a lengthy break, winning three one end at Melton (twice) and Ballarat.
Each run has been over a short trip, with the five-year-old rating 1:51.6, 1:50.8 and 1:53.6.
His performances have raised speculation of a match-race with Lochinvar Art, which has a career best record of 1:48.6 at Melton.
While that has become a major talking point, Tonkin is focused on having Ride High - the winner of 13 of his 14 starts - fully fit for the group 1 Victoria Cup in October.
Berringa pacer Idealsomemagic is again the most likely to be chasing Ride High home.
Prepared by AJ and BJ Tindale, Idealsomemagic finished second to Ride High in Ballarat on July 18.
AUSTRALIA'S best trotting mare Dance Craze continues her return to racing in a trial at Ballarat's Bray Raceway on Wednesday.
The Anton Golino-trained Dance Craze will line up against pacers.
She has not raced since an unsuccessful trip to Sydney in March. That came after a victory in the group 1 Australian Trotting Grand Prix at Melton.
Dance Craze is nearing $500,000 in earnings - a milestone she should reach next campaign.
BALLARAT and District Trotting Club has an eight-race program on Thursday night.
