Titled Concussion: Football's Black Hole, the podcast focuses on the impact of brain injury in our national game and what might be able to be done to lessen its prevalence for future generations.

Former Melbourne and North Melbourne high-flyer Shaun Smith, who spent time with Central Highlands Football League club Newlyn, is a central point of the discussion and opens up about his struggles with concussion and mental health.

The episode also includes interviews with Josh Bromley-Lynch, who talks about the battles of his father Alan 'Dizzy' Lynch, Lake Wendouree premiership-winning skipper Gavin Webb and Milli Bilson, who is a Ballarat-based research analyst.

The podcast, which is the seventh in the series, will go live on Friday at 12noon.
