In what proved the last round of the 2020 campaign over the weekend, the Roos and Blues both secured wins.
Waubra drew with Creswick in round three, but returned to winning ways with success in Hepburn. Two goals each from Thomas Ford and Jack Conroy and top displays from Bailey Colligan and Reggie Palmer helped the visitors clinch the 21-point win.
Over at Ballan, the hosts made light work of Creswick.
The Blues conceded just one major on their way to a 90-point thrashing of the Wickers. Daniel Pascoe (three), Mace Cousins (two), Cooper Parsons-Jones (two) and Spencer Jenks (two) were the multiple goal-kickers for the winners, which named Pascoe as the standout player.
With teams pulling out of the competition in the days before round four, just one other under-18 game was played on the weekend. And it was Skipton that recorded a strong 44-point triumph against Carngham-Linton.
Alonzo Soloman kicked five goals for the Emus, while Jack Richards was named best.
Newlyn was also unbeaten in 2020, but only played the first two rounds.
On Sunday, following news of stage three restrictions returning to regional Victoria, Central Highlands Football League president Doug Hobson confirmed the season was now over.
