Instead of awards, which have become a major part of the annual Victorian Seniors Festival, this year the focus wll be on recognising the lives and contributions of Victorian aged care residents.
There are so many amazing stories out there just waiting to be told - and 50 will be selected for the Recognising Senior Victorians project.
Chosen participants will feature in a five-minute broadcast accompanied by a written story.
Commissioner for Senior Victorians Gerard Mansour will provide an introduction to the stories, and all residents involved will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.
You will be able to see all the interviews at Seniors Online through to the end of the year.
- Aged care facilities wishing to find out more about taking part in the program should contact Victorian Seniors Festival manager Chris Reidy - email Chris.reidy@dhhs.vic.gov.au
