Mair Street will continue to lose median car parks and another four troublesome road intersections will receive upgrades as part of the federal government's latest Black Spot funding round.

Ballarat will receive $4.5 million to complete the five projects, including three new roundabouts - one at the intersection Havelock and Landsborough streets, and two along Talbot Street, at Rubicon and Leith Streets.
The Leith Street roundabout will also include wombat crossings and raised traffic islands.
The three roundabouts will cost $1.85 million
The intersection at Learmonth Road and Ring Road will also be upgraded - intersection geometry will be modified, with a new left-turn slip lane and additional approach lanes, and improved lighting, costing $1.26 million.
On Mair Street, median car parks will be removed between Armstrong and Lydiard Streets, with fully-controlled right turns, kerb outstands, and a solid median to be installed.
The full cost of that section will be $1.38 million.
The work on Mair Street follows upgrades and modifications along almost its entire length, from a wider roundabout at the Drummond Street intersection to the removal of median car parks near Doveton Street, as well as a new pedestrian crossing at Davies Street, new traffic lights at Peel and Humffray streets, and concrete medians closer to Victoria Street.

Regional Roads Victoria has also proposed installing traffic lights at the Dawson Street intersection, replacing a roundabout.
The state government is also upgrading a number of intersections across the city, including Gregory Street West and two roundabouts in Delacombe.
In a statement, federal government ministers noted Victoria would receive $38.7 million in the 2020-21 Black Spot round, across 92 sites - in last year's round, Cuthberts Road and Victoria Park were successful in receiving funding.
It was also noted community input is used to identify which areas require funding - to nominate a trouble area, visit the Black Spot website.
