Under stage three lockdown laws, court hire is still permitted for singles matches only and private coaching sessions are allowed to take place.
However the centre can hold no more than 20 people at one time.
"Last time we had level three we had to close the whole place, so at least we are allowed more this time," Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre manager Rob Benoit said.
"There are a lot of COVID rules set out by tennis Victoria which we adhere to."
Under the rules, only coaches may handle the balls during private coahing sessions and players must wear a mask before and after the session. Change rooms are also off limits.
In regards to private court hire, participants don't have to be from the same household, however doubles are not permitted.
"Everyone seems to know the rules, everyone turns up with a mask and as soon as they finish they put the mask on," Benoit said.
Last week the state government re-imposed lockdown restrictions on regional Victoria, putting a halt on community sport.
