But club president Steve Biggin is unsure whether or not Racing Victoria will even schedule the race day - and some others across the state - if gatherings aren't permitted.
On Friday, RV announced the Gunbower Cup (October 3), the Manangatang Cup (October 10) and a Wodonga meeting on October 17 had been abandoned due to the uncertainty of whether any crowds would be able to attend.
"We don't have a choice pretty much - we will be given directive as to what goes on. And part of that will come from Racing Victoria and Country Racing Victoria and part of it is government as well," Biggin told The Courier.
Biggin said the club wouldn't approach Racing Victoria to abandon the meeting.
"We've got costs already in terms of employees and that and running an actual race meeting from our point of view is going to cost us money, but we are still not going to have a huge hit with no crowds.
"We are there to run race meetings, trials and gallops. That's the business."
Biggin said authorities would be making decisions on other country cup events before Burrumbeet and that the club could then get a feel of how things were progressing.
"In five months time we'd hope we are not in the same situation we are now," he said.
"We've got so many country cups to go before ours and I think from Racing Victoria and Country Racing Victoria's point of view, they're going to make decisions regarding those events well before ours.
"You can't cancel every meeting because the industry needs to have events and races too, but which ones and how many continue will be the challenge going forward I think."
Burrumbeet was recently granted TAB status and has been shown live on Sky Racing in recent years.
On January 1, Miners Rest trainer Mitch Freedman captured the Burrumbeet Cup with Not To Know.
