The packs are to assist families doing it tough and who have also had to deal with remote schooling, many while they are also working.

Principal Michelle Wilson said the school traditionally ran a morning breakfast program for its pupils, but given restrictions had not been able to do so for much of this year, so this was a way of helping both children and families who may be doing it tough right now.

"Ordinarily our children would be coming to breakfast club, but this has been so difficult for so many families," she said.

"It's critical that children have some food in the morning to be able to learn, it's exactly the same situation if they are learning at home.

"We have 55 families at the school and this is all about their well-being. Parents can come and pick up the boxes, or if they are unable to come in, we will offer a home delivery as well."

The packs contain about $60-70 worth of items, everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh bread, long life milk and many other essentials required for a balanced diet.

Ms Wilson said this was a way the school could say thanks for all the hard work parents and guardians had put in over the past few months.

"We have been just so impressed with our families and the way they have engaged, it's all been about literacy and numeracy," she said.

"They've been willing to conference with teachers, everyone's been able to able to email whenever they have anything to talk about.

"About 20 per cent of our families were distributed mini-modems or dongles and about 60 per cent of our children have also received laptops."

Ms Wilson said it was not only pupils and parents that required support, paying tribute to the team of teachers who have also come together to support each other.

"I'm really mindful about what our children are going to remember of this time," she said.

"We hear about he Spanish Flu and so we want them to feel they were supported and they can continue the relationships going forward.

"The whole team here are absolutely fantastic and they are passionate about our students, and of course they are dedicated to their own children as well.

"Most of our staff are supporting children from prep to year 12, so there are a lot of uncertainties, but there's also been some wonderful things that have happened.

"We want to make sure we are part of the community. It's a great area."
