Wendouree batsman Cole Roscholler and Mt Clear wicket-keeper Jacob Smith have been selected in the Central Highlands region's team of the year for season 2019-20.

Roscholler was named as an opener after his season with the Red Caps netted 649 runs at an average of 49.92. Smith was picked as the sole gloveman and vice captain after a campaign with the Mounties that saw him make in excess of 300 runs with an average in the mid-20s.
The team is selected using the VCCL criteria for the best-performed players in each Central Highlands association based on statistics for home and away matches. This season, overseas players were ineligible.
