She said forward planning over a number of years in having this work undertaken had paid dividends on Grand Annual Steeplechase day.
Some 42mm of rain in 24 hours leading into the six-race card threatened to bring the meeting undone.
Glass said although the track was extremely heavy, it held together and was safe for racing.
She said the track staff, led by racecourse manager Dylan O'Neill, had done a great job.
More works will be done after this year's Ballarat Cup in November, with a focus on an area past the finish line.
The section of track was covered in the lead up to Sunday's meeting to minimise the impact of 72mm of ran for the week.
