Price, who his apprenticed to his uncle Dan O'Sullivan, had an outstanding first season in the saddle.
He rode 83 winners to secure the Victorian state and country apprentice premierships.Price is oriignally from South Australia and a son of former leading SA jockey Simon Price.

Ciaron Maher and David Eustace (224 wins), who have a major arm of their two-state training operation in Ballarat, received Victorian trainers' premiership award.
Nature Strip is the Victorian horse of the year. He began his career with now banned trainer Darren Weir in Ballarat and is now with Chris Waller.
