The 22-year said it was exciting to be a part of the club.
"I'm pretty keen to see how it goes and hopefully I can make a few runs," he said.
The decision to leave didn't come easy for Healey, who made his BCA debut with Naps-Sebas as an 18-year-old. However it was made so he could take his cricket to the next level.
"It was really tough, I love Napoleon's and they've treated me really well. I just thought it was time for something new to hopefully improve my cricket," he said.
"Naps-Sebas has helped me a lot and the coaches have helped me heaps, but I thought it would be good to get a new set of eyes to see where I could improve and get some different opinions."
Healey will look to bounce back at North, after struggling with inconsistency last summer.
After opening last season with a knock of 52, he struggled to replicate the performance as the weeks progressed. He finished the year on a high however, reaching the 70-run mark in two of his last three matches.
"I thought I could have done a lot more," he said.
"Early in the season I tend to not have much confidence and after Christmas I usually knuckle down and kick into gear.
"So far I've had a good preseason so hopefully I can get out from the get go and make a few runs early."
Healey played 15 first grade matches for Naps-Sebas last season, opening the batting in four of them. While he hoped to open for North, he said he would be happy to play anywhere the club put him.
"Whatever role they see me in I'll do my best to perform, whether it's batting, bowling or fielding," he said.
Healey joins the club alongside fellow newcomer Dylan Achison, who has come over from Mt Clear.
