Residents were woken up about 6am on Sunday on Giot Drive when the ute the man was driving rolled, crashing through a back fence and almost hitting a second house's front window.
The driver allegedly ran from the accident, and attended the Ballarat Base Hospital.
Ballarat police confirmed the man will be facing charges.
The accident follows a horrific weekend on the district's roads - one man died after crashing into a tree on the Ballan-Daylesford Road near Korweinguboora on Friday afternoon, and a cyclist died after allegedly being struck by a vehicle near Eganstown on Saturday.
