In a statement sent to subscribers and posted on Twitter, organisers confirmed the December festival will not take place, though hopes remain for sister festival Golden Plains in March.
"Like much of the planet, life in Postcode 3333 must contend with a pandemic and adjust to a different beat, for the time being," the statement reads.

"Which brings us to a break in regular programming. A rest."
The lineup for the festival is usually announced in July, with tickets on sale towards the end of the month - no lineup was released this year.
The 2020 Golden Plains festival - featuring Hot Chip and Stereolab - went ahead in March before any coronavirus restrictions were enacted, though it was reported a positive case was recorded by an attendee days later.
About 16,000 people attend the festival each year - previous lineups have included Oasis' Liam Gallagher, Mark Seymour, and Tame Impala.
Last week, several community groups and clubs based in the Meredith township spoke about their appreciation for the festival's ongoing support.
"It's a not so well-known fact that the very first Meredith Music Festival, planned for 1990, had to be postponed until '91," the statement continues.
"Something to do with preparations being heavy on enthusiasm but light on finance, know-how, bands and a few other odds and ends. (Landowners) Mary and Jack politely suggested that kicking off with a fallow year might be the sensible thing to do.
"Maybe it's fitting that the 30th Meredith will have to cool its heels for a year as well."
