In response to community concerns about the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project, Moorabool Shire Council will hold online information sessions with independent experts.

The project aims to build high-voltage powerlines from near Ararat to the edge of Melbourne - an exact route has not yet been determined by AusNet Services, the company tendered to build the line.
According to a council media release, there will be several sessions.

The first will feature Department of Environment, Land Water, and Planning senior impact assessor Jack Krohn speaking about understanding the Environmental Effect Statement process, to be held on Wednesday, September 23.
The second will be about compulsory land acquisition and compensation, with speakers from Mills Oakley Law Firm.
"Further sessions will be announced in due course", the release states.
Community members can submit questions beforehand, and council states there will be an opportunity for a live question and answer session.
