A three-car collision near one of the busiest areas of Delacombe has highlighted the need for increased awareness when driving on wet roads.

The incident occurred around 4.30pm when a vehicle crashed into the back of another on Smythes Road, outside of the Bupa Aged Care Centre. The second vehicle then hit a third because of the impact of the crash.
Emergency services were called to the incident, however it appears as though no one suffered major injuries.
Due to ongoing rain on Thursday, the road was wet at the time, with large puddles of water forming on the side of the road near the incident.
This comes shortly after a crash out towards Ballan resulted in one person being transported to hospital.
Just prior to 4pm, emergency services were called to an incident along the La Cote Road in Greendale to reports of a possible person trapped after a crash.
Details surrounding the nature of the incident are unavailable, however Ambulance Victoria confirmed one person was transported to St John of God Hospital following the crash.
