The hunger-inducing barbecue breeze has been largely missing without sport and under restrictions preventing the waft outside major hardware stores.
Dan Cronin and his team at The Western are firing up to bring it back in a bid to help community sporting clubs.
The Western will run a drive-through barbecue next to the hotel's drive-through coffee container with $1 from every snag sold this weekend supporting Redan and Bungaree football netball clubs.
"We wanted to help support local sport. Clubs have had no revenue coming in and limited ways of funding this year but we wanted a way to stay engaged with the sporting community," Mr Cronin said.
"The idea came from one of our customers. We've all been doing it tough but these groups continue to support us."
Sausages are on the barbie from Saturday, 8am to noon.
