Part of the Shire's Community COVID Help Support Day, the mobile COVID-19 Testing Clinics were operated out of Clunes and Creswick.
Central Highlands Rural Health Nurses Katy Condliffe and Ann Gordon said they were pleased to be able to help those who may not have been able to travel to just tested previously.
"It was good to see a lot of people come by that well and truly fell into the "at risk" category," Ms Comdliffe said.
"There were some older people who haven't been able to be tested because they can't commute to where there are available tests, as well as just some people who were showing symptoms."
Moving forward, both Ms Condliffe and Ms Gordon stressed the importance of anyone showing even minor symptoms getting tested.
"The most important thing for everyone to remember is that even if you're feeling the slightest symptoms, you need to get tested," Ms Gordon said.
"We know there may be a sense of ease now that restrictions are lighter, but getting tested is still as important as ever."
Members of the Hepburn Shire Council and Victoria Police were available to discuss any community COVID safety concerns at the testing sites across Thursday.
The initiative was organised in conjunction with Central Highlands Rural Health and Neighbourhood Houses.
This comes as Hepburn opens up to regional tourists for the first time in months thanks to regional Victoria's easing COVID-19 restrictions.
