BCA president Rob Florence said he hoped to see the matches played on October 10, provided it was safe to do so.
He said clubs could play the matches among themselves or against each other. However he said health restrictions would be in place.
"Players can't spit on the ball, umpires can't hold the jumper of the bowler and no sharing of equipment," he said.
"These protocols will need to be documented and adhered to."
If the matches go ahead, they will take place the week before the board's proposed season start date. He said the board wanted to provide clubs with as much time to prepare as possible before the start of the season.
The BCA hoped to kick off the season on October 17. Clubs will provide feedback on the date on Tuesday morning.
