The Hawks added a major addition in Darcy Thomson in July, before landing his brother Blake Thomson earlier this month.
Darcy is a perennial leading wicket-taker in the BCA and will lead an attack alongside Oliver Hayes.
His brother Blake meanwhile is a former Victorian Bushrangers state representative player.
He will enter the BCA following a great year in the Melbourne first grade ranks, which culminated in a Victorian Premier Cricket team of the season selection.
Blake confirmed his stay would only be temporary until Melbourne re-opens from COVID-19 lockdown. Regardless, his presence will make East Ballarat a force in the early part of the season.
The Hawks also snagged handy all-rounder Harli Givvens, who will return to East after a stint with Buninyong.
Givvens opened the batting for the Bunnies on occasion and will help fill a hole left by departing batsman Jarrod Blandford.
Club captain Josh Brown said Blandford would be missed.
"He was a bloke who could dig in if we were in trouble. He's a big loss but hopefully guys will step up a bit more in his absence," he said.
After scraping into the finals last season, the Hawks came within four runs of knocking over eventual premiers Darley in the semi final.
Brown hoped to see more continuity from his club this season.
"We had a few guys go to America, it was a pretty broken up season," he said.
