The Tigers will win $25,000 if Brimondo can turn her form around and bring up her first win in the $75,000 feature maiden, 1200m.
Brimondo, which has been doing all her racing of late on a synthetic track at Devonport, is a seven-year-old mare with three seconds and four thirds in 44 starts.
Ballarat apprentice jockey Alana Kelly takes the ride for Devonport trainer Vern Poke.
Torquay trainer Bryce Stanaway has three starters.
Ballarat Turf Club major sponsor Sportsbet has paired up a community sporting group with each of the 14 starters in The Hotham, with each organisation guaranteed a cash prize.
Lexton was fortunate to be selected from entries from across Australia.
In addition to the winner getting $25,000, the group with the second-place horse will land $12,500, third $7500, fourth $5000, fifth $4000, sixth $3000 and then $2000 down to second last. The group with last across the line will pick up $4000.
