Senior sports journalist with The Courier David Brehaut is a Haddon resident, and raised the issue at the beginning of the week, saying he had spoken to several people who had not received their ballots for the Golden Plains Shire election.
With the deadline for voting closing at 6pm on Friday October 23 and a public holiday falling on that day, Mr Brehaut says there is just one day left before voters are disenfranchised.
The Courier raised the matter with the VEC on Tuesday, and was told the ballots had been delivered.
A "small number of voters in Haddon Ward in Golden Plains Shire Council reported they had not received their ballot packs," a VEC spokesperson said.

"We have been in contact with Australia Post, who have assured us that all ballot papers have now been delivered to voters in Golden Plains Shire."
Mr Brehaut says this is not the case.
"The mail has been delivered, and still no election packs!" Mr Brehaut said.
Mr Brehaut says the Grand Final public holiday on Friday means Thursday October 22 is the last chance for haddon residents to have their ballots delivered.
A spokesperson told The Courier on Wednesday night "the VEC is working closely with Australia Post to provide a small number of electors in postcode 3351 (Golden Plains Shire) with replacement postal voting packs where the original pack was not delivered. Whilst a number of replacement votes were issued during the week the remaining affected voters are being provided with their replacement packs by Australia Post on Thursday."
The spokesperson said council election votes would still be counted as long as they were signed and posted by the 6pm Friday October 23, and were received by 12 noon on Friday October 30.
